follow up:  gave the book to my sisters boyfriend and "baby daddy" Kirk as a first Father's Day gift (she's due in October)...he loved it.

Two days fishing around the Black Hills with Jan (my good friend from our USD days)...great weekend and a needed break from everything!

Had the great opportunity today to go trout fishing with my old college friend Jan Mudder near Silver City...great day! Jan and I lived on the same floor in Julian Hall during our freshman year at USD. Jan has gone on to teach in Kabul, Afghanistan; Kazakhstan and is currently teaching near Shenzhen, China with his wife and kids.

Fishing was good, the weather was great and the conversations were excellent.
